GoodMama asked:
I’m in the William D. Ford program now to pay off my student loans. It’s for people with hardships. Today I got a paper saying that they will not withhold from my income tax return and another paper that said that my two loans have been consolidated. Does anybody know what this means? Thank you!

I heard that there is a type of grant or student loan that you can get for college, and you wouldn’t have to pay any of it back AS LONG AS you keep your grades above a certain level. If your grades dropped below the required level then you’d have to pay off the loans.
What type of loan is that called?

♥Cronin Fan♥ asked: My daughter has been awarded these types of loan from filing with FAFSA and I’m just not sure what the difference is (though I’d rather try to keep from having to use loans for her education).
Thanks!

LBC-Lakers asked:
I know they will ask for my transcript from that college but I haven’t been at that school for nearly 11 years. I’m planning on to go back to school this fall and earn my AA and hopefully the right to transfer back to a University. Money is hard to come by and I don’t know how I’m going to pay for my loans and old tuition fees.

Inquisitive_Mind asked:
I’m finishing up my first 2 years at a community college and transferring to a university next fall. Following that, I’m planning to get my masters degree. Will I have to start paying off my student loans when I’m finished with my bachelors or do they wait until you’ve finished all your years of schooling?

kEV asked: I want to attend Seattle community college but they do not accept federal loans so i am looking at private loans.
I don’t have good credit but I also don’t have bad credit. I have about 10,000 in collections.
I want to find a loan that I can wait till I’m out of school then i can start paying on.
Please let me know any experiences you have had with private loans also.
Thanks

Michael G. asked:
I signed the Mater Promissory Note before receiving the actual loan information and accepting the loans. Now that I have received the loan information and I am about to accept the loan amounts, will I have to re-sign the Master Promissory Note and re-do the Entrance Counseling?

Danielle asked:
I have recently heard that private student loans cannot be consolidated, only federal student loans. Is this true? I just graduated from college and I mainly have federal student loans, but I also have one private student loan. I have always assumed that student loan consolidation meant consolidating all of your student loans. Can anyone help me out on this or does anyone know if some places consolidate both?

Help Please..Thanks asked:
I attend two different schools. I applied for loans at both schools. I received unsubsidized, subsidized and pell grant at one school and only a subsidized loan at the other school. The office called me today to tell me that I cannot receive financial aid at two different schools. Can someone please explain to me why I cannot receive loans at two different schools that I am currently attending. I am so confused. Thanks for any and all help.
