What does it mean if my loans get consolidated?
GoodMama asked:
I’m in the William D. Ford program now to pay off my student loans. It’s for people with hardships. Today I got a paper saying that they will not withhold from my income tax return and another paper that said that my two loans have been consolidated. Does anybody know what this means? Thank you!

They are not going to take any payment from your income tax refund, if any. You two loans have bee put together and is now 1 loan, hopefully reducing your interest rate.
