kEV asked: I want to attend Seattle community college but they do not accept federal loans so i am looking at private loans.
I don’t have good credit but I also don’t have bad credit. I have about 10,000 in collections.
I want to find a loan that I can wait till I’m out of school then i can start paying on.
Please let me know any experiences you have had with private loans also.
Thanks

I am a full-time student, and I eventually might have to look into Private loans to help fund my college education and living expenses. What loans should I look for, and where should I look?

Shawna asked: It’s about that time for me to start paying back my loans! I’m not at home (michigan) where all of my info and records are- and frankly it might not all be in one spot.
I need to know if there is a number I can call to see how many private (ex: discover, or education one) student loans I have taken out in the past 4 years…
Any ideas? THANKS!

Kimberly B asked:
I am interested in finding private loans only. I have applied for a Parent Plus and got denied so I am eligible for at least 4000 in a unsub loan. I have also applied for a sub loan. Unfortunately I am not eligible for a Perkins loan or any other gov’t loans. Are there any private loans that do not require a cosigner?

I am in the process of looking for a private student loan to help cover the cost of living and being a student. I’m probably going to apply for an Astrive Student Loan. Are there any other good companies where you don’t need tons of credit? Or do you know anything about the Astrive loans? Thanks.

I am talking about private loans.
Say I am getting a $20,000 unverified private loan with an interest rate of prime(7.75). What will this loan be in 1 year with no payments? I am struggling with exactly how to figure this out.
I am looking at putting my federal loans in a high yield savings account as being a nurse they will be paid after a while of working.
I know this question is kind of scattered, but so is my head right now.

KND asked:
I may have to take out a private loan to cover additional expenses. I will have enough for tuition, but not necessarily room and board. Any suggestions for a decent, well known lender of educational loans?

I am applying for financial aid to pay for school, but I might need loans to help me besides the grants. Do I need good credit for me to get any type of loan to help pay school?
