Okay, so in a nut shell, after receiving the loans I qualify for, I qualify for 9,000 dollars worth of loans, scholarships, grants, plus a 12,000 direct parent loan, but I can’t take out the direct parent loan because my parents are not paying for my college. So basically all I can get is the 9000 dollars. BUT I need 14,000 to be able to afford school. Where can I get more loans?

I have like 4 different student loans through sallie mae and i got like $400 in payments all together per month and they will not only not consolidate them but will no longer work with me on lowering payments. Seems like all i do is pay interest anyways! So i just want to find a bank out there to consolidate for me so i only have (ONE) interest rate and (ONE) payment… and I would also like to say CYA to the greedy pricks!

I am looking into consolidating my student loans. I have 2 separate cosigners on the loans. If I consolidate, does that release them of their responsibility to the loan? Or are they still attached as cosigners?

My loans are under a 6 month grace period due 12/2011 because I just completed undergrad. I will be enrolling into grad school next spring, and right now I am buying a house and the lender is requiring that my loans state 12 months deferred. How can I do that?
